Who We Are:
PBS Hawaii is a nonprofit multimedia organization dedicated to education. We are the federally licensed statewide educational broadcaster in the Islands and the sole Hawaii member of the trusted Public Broadcasting Service (PBS). In addition, we are the only locally owned statewide television station in Hawaii.
What We Do:
Through on-air and online platforms, we advance learning and discovery with storytelling that touches lives.
How We Do It:
With online and live streaming delivery of locally produced programs, we reach the world with stories of Hawaii. With broadcast transmitters on Oahu and Maui, along with 11 translators on Kauai and Hawaii Island, our broadcasting system provides free, over-the-air television to six populated islands, including underserved, rural areas where it is unprofitable for cable television to operate.
